Bubba Sparxxx and Rodney Atkins

NASHVILLE, TN (January 12, 2014) – Platinum-selling artist, Bubba Sparxxx, and Curb Records’ recording artist, country star Rodney Atkins, have collaborated to release “Right,” a country song depicting real-life troubles of ‘getting it right’ featured on Sparxxx’s latest album, “Pain Management.” Tune in to GAC’s “Headline Country” starting today at 3pm ET through this weekend to catch all the behind-the-scenes action from the video shoot. In addition, Sparxxx’s new album and return to his country roots is highlighted on NPR’s nationally syndicated show, “Bullseye,” a public radio show about what’s good in popular culture, broadcasting now in markets nationwide. Shot and produced by Hideout Pictures in White House, Tennessee, the video for “Right” highlighting both Sparxxx and Atkins captures the unique chemistry between both artists. The video is scheduled to premiere later this month.

“It was important that Rodney and I collaborated on a song with a strong message we both believe in, which is the case with ‘Right,’” comments Sparxxx. “And just like it relates to the both of us, I think it will relate to each listener in some way. We all have some aspect of our life we want to get ‘right.’ Additionally, Rodney and I stayed true to who we are as people and artists. He’s not rapping and I’m not singing. Not to mention, Rodney is one of the most down to earth, genuine people I’ve ever had the privilege of working with.”

Atkins adds,”Bubba and I first met in 2006 in North Carolina and we started talking about working together then. When he called me with this song, it just made sense. Music, no matter the genre, is a universal language and this song says something worthwhile.”

About Bubba Sparxxx

A native of LaGrange, Georgia, Bubba Sparxxx first hit the country rap scene with his smash hit “Ugly” in 2001 from his platinum-certified, debut album Dark Days, Bright Nights produced by Shannon “Fat Shan” Houchins of the successful record label, Average Joes Entertainment, and superstar producers Timbaland and Organized Noize.  It was followed-up by the critically acclaimed 2003 release Deliverance.  Today, Bubba Sparxxx continues to collaborate with Houchins on their foundation of blending musical genres.  Pain Management is Sparxxx’s third studio album, and first release for BackRoad Records. Quick to remind every artist trying to break the mold of traditional and mainstream music to keep steady in creating their own path in music, Bubba encourages his fans to remember that his brand of music isn’t particularly mainstream country music, and it isn’t rap music, but it has a home somewhere in-between the two.  www.bubbasparxxx.com
